There are two elections in FVG in 2024 and, according to the latest rumors, could be merged in one election day. 113 municipalities of Friuli Venezia Giulia in spring will be called to renew mayors and administrations: 83 in the province of Udine, 14 in that of Pordenone, 13 under Gorizia and 3 in the province of Trieste (Monrupino, San Dorligo della Valle and Sgonico), for a total that touches the 300 thousand inhabitants, about a quarter of the total. The detailed list of municipalities can be found on the local government website system. In 2024, however, are also scheduled elections for the renewal of the European Parliament on days between 6-9 June 2024, an election date that the Regional Council plans to merge with the Municipal elections, at first planned for the end of May, in an election day, as confirmed by the Councillor for Local Autonomies Pierpaolo Roberti.

The Junta will now submit the proposal to the Central Government. Remains to verify in fact the feasibility of the amalgamation between European elections, that could take place in two days (on the weekend of Saturday 8 and Sunday 9) and the municipals, for which instead the vote is provided only on Sunday. The same councillor Roberti explained that to arrive at a decision must wait the final confirmation of how to vote for the Europeans.
