Friuli Venezia Giulia, anti-Covid vaccination campaign to start by 15th January

14.12.2020 – 20.00 – Friuli Venezia Giulia is ready to start the anti-Covid vaccination campaign by 15th January, as requested by the Government, having already identified with great precision the number of people to which the vaccine will be administered .
To announce the news was Massimiliano Fedriga, President of Friuli Venezia Giulia, who held a videoconference with Vice-President Riccardo Riccardi and the Ministers of Health and Regional Affairs, respectively Roberto Speranza and Francesco Boccia, and the extraordinary commissioner Domenico Arcuri.
The meeting was convened to urge the Italian regions to speed up the procedures for the identification of people to undergo vaccination.
“As commissioner Arcuri has certified,” Fedriga explained, “the numbers we have already sent to Rome correspond to the needs of our territory and therefore do not require further ‘adjustments’.
The second phase of the procedure requested by the government is now underway: “Having checked that the numbers sent to Rome are correct,” explains Riccardi, “the organisational machinery of the regional health system will now work to identify the availability of those who will be vaccinated, among the 56,000 who fall into the categories identified by the government as requested by Commissioner Arcuri.
