03.19.2020 – 18.18 – The Board of Directors of Friulia, after the meetings with the regional councillors Barbara Zilli and Sergio Emidio Bini, today gave the go-ahead to three interventions that will allow the participants of the regional finance affected by the effects caused by the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic to benefit from support for 50 million euros through the disbursement of loans at advantageous rates, the extension of the payment of installments due in 2020 and the postponement of the exit from the capital. Friulia will disburse:
• advisory assistance and 24-month loans at advantageous rates and without commissions for urgent cash needs and for the benefit of all investee companies.
Friulia’s experts will offer free consultancy for the redefinition of business plans, such as the drafting of budgets and financial plans to identify needs and find the best financial solutions;
• postponement by 12 months of the payment of all instalments due by 31 December 2020 without any additional interest;
• the possibility for companies in which Friulia is leaving by 31 December 2020 to request a new intervention at better economic conditions than those currently in force, keeping Friulia in the company structure.
Pending verification of the overall effects, even in the medium term, on the competitiveness of all businesses, it can already be predicted that the health emergency will cause serious damage to the regional and national economic fabric, which is made up, for the most part, of micro and small businesses.
In the immediate future, it is very likely that companies will experience a significant financial shortfall in revenues due to the production slowdowns and economic difficulties; hence the support of the measures implemented by Friulia, which increases the financial dowry at their disposal with the aim of restarting their activity and investments.
“Even if the situation in terms of health is still evolving, the business world is already looking for solutions to prepare to turn the page and start again,” said Federica Seganti, president of Friulia.
“To do this, however, it must be able to count on financial and fiscal support that stimulates the spirit of initiative and the ability to get up in times of difficulty, two characteristics that have always distinguished the entrepreneurial realities of our region and our country”.
Friulia’s interventions are complemented by the measures already approved by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region itself, which have seen the allocation of the first 33.5 million euros to businesses and the disbursement of 3 million euros for the call for proposals for industrialization activities linked to research, development and innovation results.
