03.14.2020 – 11.40 – The Civil Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia opens also to local and private associations (Pro loco, Caritas Committee, etc.) and private citizens the possibility to collaborate in the Coronavirus emergency.
In addition to specifying that the activation of the “volunteering” function required of the municipalities for the Coronavirus emergency also includes the coordination of any volunteers from neighboring municipalities, a communication sent this morning to the mayors by the vice-governor in charge of Civil Protection, Riccardo Riccardi, emphasizes that people belonging to associations or other forms of civic volunteering can also be coordinated.
Among these forms are considered local or private associations, but also individual citizens who, however, must first be accredited in the Municipality.
In this case, insurance cover and training will be paid for by the municipal administration.
The Civil Protection also informs that citizens interested in participating in the activities may also be coordinated, on an occasional and temporary basis, by joining Municipal Civil Protection Groups.
In this case, insurance cover and training will be paid for by the Regional Directorate of Civil Protection.
In both cases the Mayors will accept the availability and provide the volunteer with an identification card.
