Fight against Covid-19, the government considers involuntary medical treatment for those who have symptoms and swab-tests for those arriving by plane

07.07.2020 – 10.10 – After the increase in contagion and various outbreaks throughout the peninsula, the government – despite the fact that yesterday the data have stabilized again – is discussing a new anti-Covid maneuver, to prevent the much-discussed “second wave”.
Swabs at the airport for those arriving from non-Schengen countries, stricter controls for those who are in quarantine, the obligation of hospitalization for those who are sick but refuse treatment: these are some measures that the Conte government wants to put in place.

Health Minister Roberto Speranza is in consultation with legal experts to verify if there is the possibility of imposing an involuntary medical treatment on those who have the symptoms of Covid-19 but don’t respect the quarantine period.
In addition, among the measures discussed by the government: the transfer to “health hotels” for those who cannot guarantee isolation for 14 days at their homes.
