Fedriga: No walking and outdoor sports activities from tomorrow

03.19.2020 – 19.00 – The Governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia has signed a new ordinance that prohibits, from tomorrow, to go out for walks or for outdoor sports activities, which requires mayors to close all public gathering places and locations that are open to the public, and the closure, on Sunday, of all businesses of any kind, except pharmacies, para-pharmacies and newsagents.
“It is important – is the appeal made by Fedriga to the citizens – that all do their part to contain the spread of Coronavirus: you can only go out for the activities mentioned by the government decree, i.e. for work, health or food supply.
In order to protect health and restart the economy, everyone must be committed and not underestimate the situation.
Unfortunately, infections and the access of patients in intensive care continue to increase; Here in Friuli Venezia Giulia we have no excuses because we have already seen what the situations of the other regions, where the virus has spread earlier, look like now.
We know what can happen to us, and we have one more reason, therefore, to move before dramatic events like these happen here too”.
The text of the ordinance, which is valid from March 20 until April 3, unless extended, provides that in implementation of the prohibition to move from one’s home, residence or abode, except for specific needs identified by law, as well as in implementation of the prohibition to create groups in public places or open to the public (including parks and gardens), it is prohibited to carry out sport activities of any kind, as well as to take walks or linger in areas frequented by other people, with particular regard to public spaces or spaces open to the public.
Access to establishments open to the public is limited to a single member of the family, unless there are proven reasons for caring for other people.
Finally, on Sunday, the Ordinance requires the closure of all shops of any kind, with the exception of pharmacies, para-pharmacies and newsstands.
